Dr. Sherron Marquina

Chiropractic Physician
Professional Applied Kinesiologist

Dr. Marquina is a chiropractic physician, a Professional Applied Kinesiologist, and a graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic.  She is trained in laser therapy, meridian therapy/acupuncture, auriculotherapy, NAET, homeopathy, bioresonance therapy, and pulsed electromagnetic therapy.

She enjoys special interests in metabolic nutrition, functional neurology, stress recovery, and illness as a metaphorical curriculum for spiritual growth.

Dr. Marquina, a native of the Northern Neck of Virginia, attended Mary Washington College and the University of Texas at Austin to obtain her Bachelors in Mathematics.  Subsequently, she enrolled in a doctoral program in Educational Psychology, with special interests in Transpersonal Development and in Organizational Development, but left to direct a Texas consortium project for instructional accountability in the public schools.  That work, and the influence of teachers like Jean Houston, W. Edwards Deming, and Ivan Barzakov led her to work as an organizational development consultant and executive development coach for major high technology firms nationally.

As she observed the effects of stress and lifestyle affecting the creativity and productivity of her clients (and herself!), her interest in homeopathy, chiropractic and other natural health disciplines led her to doctoral studies in chiropractic.

With an appreciation for high technology and an awe for the function of the body-mind, Dr. Marquina began her private practice in St. Louis, continuing to study subtle energy and emerging technology approaches, to tackle challenging health issues.

In 2001 Dr. Marquina moved her practice to Richmond to be closer to family, ocean, and “more trees!”  She lives in Richmond with her husband, with whom she shares enjoyment of reading, biking, travel, photography, good food and gardening.
