Yvonne is a former Dating Agency Director and expert in the research of all aspects of the Single Lifestyle. She is a huge supporter of online dating and has researched 5,500+ Online Singles and over 6,000 Online Dating Sites globally. As a result of this research, she is also the Author of two books dedicated to being single and dating online.
Yvonne is also a consultant to various Global Law Enforcement and Government Agencies about Online Safety and Internet Scams that are directed at the Singles Dating, Chat Room and Social Networking Industries.
She has also been appointed the CEO of The Dating Association which is a non-for-profit organisation that is for the sole purpose of self regulating the global dating industry and keeping online dating singles safe online.
MY JOURNEY
My journey into the online dating world began out of curiosity—as I suspect was the case for many who are reading this introduction. I was looking for a partner, and I’d tried everything else with varying degrees of success, so I thought I’d give the Internet a go. As a former dating agency director (pre-Internet popularity), I had a very good understanding of the frustrations people experience trying to find the person they are seeking (me included).
When I started this journey on the Internet (about six years ago), did I know what I was doing at the start? Not even remotely!
Did I have any idea how hard it would be—because there was nothing to guide my journey? Not even the slightest idea!
Would I have benefited from books like these to guide me and save me time, frustration and disappointment? Absolutely!
So you’ve decided to take the plunge and try online dating. You’ve plucked up the courage and you are ready to try it. Or you are already doing it and are tired of being disappointed. Let me assure you—online dating is a fantastic way to make new friends and meet the person you are seeking.
Millions of people all over the world have found partners via the Internet, and you can too! But unless you prepare yourself properly for this journey, you may face some unpleasant surprises, and I’m not just speaking about being scammed either—that’s why I’m here to help you.
I’ve written these books for you—books for singles (though hopefully you won’t be for much longer!). I will take you by the hand, so to speak, and guide you through some of the opportunities and, let’s admit it, dangers that exist for singles—men and women of all ages and sexual preferences looking to find that special someone. I’ll guide you on how to go about finding this special person you are looking for – who is also out there seeking you.
We will cover every topic that you can imagine (and maybe a few you haven’t). You and I together will leave no subject unexplored. I’m looking forward to sharing with you my extensive knowledge, research and experience of this world and the possibilities it has for you. And you will also be able to benefit from the contributions of law enforcement, government agencies, and communities as well as reading stories from real people sharing their experiences as Internet daters.
I don’t actually suggest any online dating sites for you to join, as I feel this is an individual preference. However, together we will explore every aspect of how to make sure you find one that is safe, reputable and comfortable for you.
